Today, 5 bands came to life at the Mike Risko Music School! Most of these aspiring musicians just met today for the first time. We started the morning off with an orientation and then it was off to the studios so the bands could start writing with their band managers. It is always so interesting to bring 5 people into a room with totally different tastes in music and to see what style the music turns into. The band managers did a great job because each band had at least part of a song to play by the time we began showcasing. Check out some of the video from today's camp. Keep in mind that these are brand new songs and some of these musicians have never played in a band before! It is pretty amazing. You will also be amazed as you tune in through the week to look at the website to see how much the bands grow. We will be randomly putting up videos and pictures throughout the camp. Don't be disappointed if you didn't make it up here today, we will do our very best to represent each musician either through pictures or video at some point in the week. Day 2, Day 3
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the bands had extremely productive days. Things are really coming together, the songs are sounding great and everyone is making new friends. The mornings started off with a team (band) building exericise. On Tuesday the bands did a quick musical trivia game before going into their rehearsal and on Wednesday we started color wars and each band wore a different color. On Wednesday we also took band promo photos. All of the bands have at least 2 songs and some are even working on their 3rd song. We are looking forward to seeing the posters tomorrow and crazy hat day. Everyone is getting really excited for the big show.
