Day 1- And so we are off to a great start! The new music school is filled with the sounds of original music. We can hear the bands trying different things to find the best sound. The singers did a vocal workshop in which they all got to warm up their voices and work on basic mic technique. We are looking forward to a really fun week! Day 3-It is all starting to come together! These bands sound awesome. Today we continued writing our songs, we have a promo poster, we gave out tickets and took our group picture. Day 4- The bands are really looking forward to their big show tomorrow! We are hoping for a great crowd and we hear we are going to have great weather. Today we had a very special treat for our rockers....a good friend of ours, Marc von Em spoke to the group. Marc is a singer song-writer who just got off tour with Rob Thomas for whom he played backup guitar and did backup vocals. He did hundereds of shows in huge arenas with Rob and gave some very valuable information to the kids about song writing, rehearsing and being part of a band. Don't forget to send out your emails and invite your friends to the show tomorrow. It is going to be a great show!
Day 5! What an awesome week! We had great bands, great songs and lots of fun. We even did a group number at the end of the day. All the singers sang The Climb and we used rockers from all the bands as our house band. The concert was a great success. There were tons of people, the weather was beautiful and the bands sounded awesome. All the hard work from the week paid off. We want to thank all our bands for doing a terrific job!
